The Final Stretch: Polish, Design, and Beta
SonicBrain is entering its last phase before release.
This stage is about refinement — sharpening the design details that make an app feel premium rather than just functional, tightening every interaction, and putting the app in front of real users through beta testing to catch what only real-world use can reveal.
From a question about music ownership, to three months of specification, to a month of 24/7 engineering — SonicBrain is almost home.
Coming soon.
Building the Core: A Month of 24/7 Development
Phase two is done — and it was intense.
For a full month, development ran around the clock to bring SonicBrain's engine to life — not just a feature, but the foundation. This core engine is being built to power SonicBrain today and future SonicCore-x apps down the line, so we held it to a standard well beyond "good enough."
The numbers behind that standard:
-
800+ physical tests run against the core engine to validate performance and stability -
120 fps achieved in rendering performance -
Streaming speed and playback fully optimized to a premium-tier experience
This is the unglamorous, hardest part of building a product — but it's also the part that determines whether everything after it feels effortless. It does.
Next up: final polish and beta testing begin.
Where It Started: An Idea Worth Building
Every product starts with a frustration. Ours was simple: if you own your music, why should you need a subscription to listen to it — anywhere, in the quality it deserves?
That question became SonicBrain. A music player built for people who already own their music, letting it follow them across every device, in full high-resolution quality, in the format it was meant to be heard in — with no monthly fee standing in the way, and no ads interrupting the experience.
From the very first sketch, one decision was non-negotiable: SonicBrain would be built on a 100% privacy architecture. No central server holding your library, no listening data collected, nothing to sell.
It took three months to go from that first idea to a complete technical specification — every workflow, every edge case, every architectural decision mapped out before a single line of production code was written. Today, that document is what our engineers are building from.
Next up: development enters full execution mode.
